Six students of the Nigerian Law School are missing and feared abducted by armed bandits while traveling to resume their studies at the Yola campus in Adamawa State. The Federal Government and security agencies have yet to issue an official statement.
According to reports by Sahara Reporters, the incident occurred late on Saturday, July 26, along the Wukari–Benue corridor, a high-risk route known for frequent abductions. A fellow student identified as Johnson confirmed that kidnappers have contacted families of the victims, demanding a ransom of ₦20 million for their release.
The missing students were said to have completed their mandatory court externship and were on their way back to Yola campus ahead of academic resumption scheduled for Monday, July 28. Those confirmed missing include: Rev. Ernest Okafor, Ogbuka Fabian, Nwamma Philip, Okechukwu Obadiegwu, Obalem Emmanuel, and Obiorah David.
They were reportedly traveling aboard a vehicle operated by AJ Dan Pullo Transport Company, based in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The route between Wukari and Benue is widely considered volatile, and the area has a history of abduction and violent criminal activity. The absence of any official comment has sparked concern among students and their families, with calls for urgent government intervention.
