The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced the commencement of the Post-UTME (PUTME) and Post Direct Entry (PUDE) Admission Screening Exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The screening exercise is scheduled to hold from Monday, 1st September to Saturday, 6th September 2025 at designated centres within the university’s Ugbowo Campus. The test will be conducted using a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.
Eligibility Requirements
- Candidates must have applied through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the 2025/2026 UTME or Direct Entry, selected UNIBEN as their first choice, and scored 200 or above (for UTME candidates).
- Candidates must possess at least five credit passes at O’Level (GCE, SSCE, NECO, or equivalents) in not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics (where applicable), and relevant subjects.
- A valid email address is required to complete the application process.

1. Physical Sciences: Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, Education – Physical Sciences, Technical Education, Statistics (Pure Science option)
2. Life Sciences: Medicine, Dentistry, Basic Medical Sciences, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Education – Life Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Home Economics, Veterinary Medicine
3. Social Sciences: Social Sciences, Education – Social Sciences, Early Childhood Education, Library and Information Science, Guidance and Counseling, Special Education, Adult Education
4. Management Sciences: Management Sciences, Mathematics & Economics, Estate Management, Statistics, Economics
5. Arts: Law, Arts, Education – Arts
Important Information
- Candidates should check the online portal from Wednesday, 27th August 2025 for details of their specific screening date, venue, and time.
- All candidates are expected to arrive at the screening centre at least one hour before their scheduled time.
- Mobile phones and calculators are prohibited during the screening exercise.
- Candidates must present their acknowledgement slip and screening invitation slip on the screening day.
Application Deadline
The application portal will close at midnight on Friday, 22nd August 2025. Applications and payments received after this deadline will not be accepted.
