The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) will begin its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening for the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday, August 11.
The exercise will run until Thursday, September 11, with no extension, the institution said in a statement from the Office of the Registrar.
Only candidates who chose UNIMAID as their first choice in the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or applied through Direct Entry are eligible.
Applicants must pay a non-refundable fee of ₦2,000 through the REMITA platform. UTME candidates are required to score at least 150, except for programmes with higher cut-off marks listed on the university’s website, and must have the correct UTME subject combinations as prescribed in the 2025 JAMB brochure.
All applicants must possess a minimum of five O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings. Direct Entry candidates must have at least a Lower Credit at National/Higher National Diploma (ND/HND) level or Merit at the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) level.
The university noted that only O’Level results downloaded directly from examination bodies’ websites—WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB—will be accepted for verification. Candidates must also upload their results on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
