The management of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has announced a two-week extension of the ongoing Post-UTME online screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a statement issued by the university, the decision followed appeals from applicants and other stakeholders. The registration portal, earlier scheduled to close, will now remain open until midnight on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
The extension, according to the university, is intended to provide a final opportunity for candidates who may have faced challenges such as technical issues, incomplete documentation, or delayed access to the portal.
“All candidates who chose Bayero University, Kano as their first choice in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 160 and above are advised to take advantage of this extension,” the statement said.
The university emphasized that this will be the final deadline, warning that failure to complete the screening process by the new date will lead to disqualification from the 2025/2026 admission exercise.
