The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has officially announced the commencement of the sale of application forms for its Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) programme for the 2025/2026 academic session. According to the management, the form is now available online for all interested candidates across Nigeria who seek direct admission into the institution without the use of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The University disclosed that the application fee for the programme is pegged at ₦20,000. While the date for the mandatory screening test has not yet been fixed, officials revealed that it would be announced in due course through the institution’s official portal. Prospective applicants have been directed to visit www.jupeb.fuoye.edu.ng for details regarding the registration process and other important information.
The JUPEB programme is widely recognized as an advanced-level programme designed to prepare candidates for direct entry admission into the 200 level of any Nigerian university. FUOYE’s management explained that successful completion of the JUPEB course guarantees admission into degree programmes, thereby bypassing the conventional UTME process. This opportunity, according to them, makes the programme highly attractive to secondary school leavers and other interested candidates.
A statement signed by the Director of the JUPEB programme at FUOYE noted that interested candidates can obtain further information by contacting the admission office via the provided official number: 07060813390. The statement reiterated the institution’s commitment to transparency and accessibility for all candidates nationwide.

These programmes have rigorous requirements, with candidates expected to combine Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at both UTME and A’ Level, while also having credit passes in key science subjects at O’Level.
The Doctor of Pharmacy programme also stands tall under the Faculty of Pharmacy. Candidates aspiring to study Pharmacy must meet very high academic standards, including three A’ Level passes in Chemistry, Biology/Zoology, and Physics or Mathematics, in addition to outstanding O’Level results.
For Social Sciences, departments such as Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, Criminology and Security Studies, and Economics and Development Studies are all open for applicants. The requirements typically include combinations of Government, History, Mathematics, Economics, and other Social Science subjects, ensuring broad accessibility to candidates from diverse academic backgrounds.
Management Sciences is also well-represented, with programmes like Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy, and Public Administration being offered. These programmes require Mathematics, Economics, and relevant Social Science subjects in UTME and at least two ‘A’ Level passes in related subjects for Direct Entry candidates.
FUOYE officials emphasized that the comprehensive list of requirements is provided to guide candidates in making informed decisions about their programme of choice. The University reiterated that candidates must ensure they meet the minimum admission standards before submitting their applications.
With the official release of this notice, FUOYE has once again positioned itself as a leading choice for Nigerian students seeking alternatives to the UTME.
