The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI), has successfully secured the reopening of the course registration portal for the 2024/2025 academic session following a formal appeal to the University Management.
The official announcement was made through a statement issued by the SUG President, Sen. Comr. Ayeni Opeyemi Isaac (Team MAVAS), on October 28, 2025, from the Office of the President, Students’ Union Government. The decision follows the SUG’s proactive engagement with the Directorate of Students’ Affairs and other key university stakeholders to address the concerns of students who were unable to complete their registration before the previous deadline.
According to the statement, the course registration portal has now been reopened to allow students who have yet to register their courses to do so conveniently. The management, through the intervention of the Union, approved the reopening as a final opportunity for affected students to regularize their academic records for the current session.
Students are therefore urged to complete their course registration on or before Monday, November 3, 2025, as the portal will be permanently closed immediately after the stated date. The SUG emphasized that this marks the final reopening of the course registration portal for the 2024/2025 academic session, urging all students to comply promptly to avoid future academic complications.
In a further clarification, the Union noted that beneficiaries of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) are eligible to complete their course registration free of charge, while students who made late payment of school fees will be required to pay the stipulated late registration fee as outlined by the university management.

The SUG also advised students experiencing technical difficulties or payment issues to visit the University Computer Resource Centre (UCRC) for proper guidance and assistance. The Union maintained that the UCRC has been equipped to handle such challenges efficiently to ensure a seamless registration process for all students.
Speaking on the intervention, Sen. Comr. Ayeni Opeyemi Isaac expressed gratitude to the University Management for responding positively to the Union’s appeal. He noted that the development demonstrates BOUESTI’s commitment to student-friendly governance and its recognition of the SUG as a credible representative body for the welfare of the student community.
The SUG President reaffirmed his administration’s determination to continue prioritizing the academic and welfare interests of students, noting that “Team MAVAS remains steadfast in ensuring that no student is left behind due to administrative, financial, or technical barriers.” He further encouraged students to take full advantage of this reopening to complete all outstanding registration requirements.
The SUG leadership also assured students that it would continue to collaborate with the Directorate of Students’ Affairs and the University Senate to ensure smoother academic processes and improved welfare delivery across all faculties. The Union reiterated its readiness to engage constructively with management on all student-related matters.
This reopening marks another milestone in the Union’s advocacy efforts and reflects the effectiveness of dialogue-driven student leadership at BOUESTI. The SUG once again called on all students to demonstrate responsibility by registering their courses before the deadline, noting that proactive compliance remains the key to academic success within the university system.
