Pen Resource Academy, Gombe State, has emerged winner of the North-East Zonal Quiz Competition on Legislature and Democracy, held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, in Bauchi.
The Gombe State contingent, led by the State Coordinator, Adamu Baba Idi, clinched the top position with a perfect score of 75 out of 75 points. Yobe State came second with 55 points, while Taraba State secured third place with 50 points.
The competition, now in its 10th edition, was organized by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Abuja. It aims to educate and inspire young Nigerians to understand the principles of democracy and the legislative process, preparing them to become informed and active citizens.
With this victory, Pen Resource Academy will represent the North-East Zone at the Grand Finale, scheduled to hold later at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.
Participants and winners received trophies and certificates of attendance during the award presentation ceremony.
