Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, has issued an important notice to all newly admitted candidates, announcing a strict deadline for acceptance of provisional admission for the 2025/2026 academic session. According to the institution, every candidate who has secured admission must complete all required acceptance and early registration procedures before the officially approved date.
The management disclosed that the last day for candidates to accept their provisional admission is Friday, 21 November 2025. The institution stressed that this deadline is non-negotiable and forms part of efforts to streamline registration, avoid administrative delays, and ensure that only committed candidates retain their admission slots.
MAPOLY also announced that lectures for all categories of students, excluding those currently on SIWES, commenced on Monday, 10 November 2025. The early start of lectures, the management noted, makes prompt acceptance and registration even more important for newly admitted candidates.
The notice applies strictly to all candidates offered admission into the polytechnic across approved programmes. While students currently engaged in their Industrial Training (SIWES) have separate schedules, those not on SIWES are expected to follow the standard academic calendar and complete their registration steps without delay.
According to the management, the first and most critical step for newly admitted students is to formally accept the admission offer. The polytechnic advised candidates to follow the instructions on the official admission portal carefully and ensure that the acceptance process is completed in full before the November 21 deadline.
MAPOLY explained that once acceptance is done, candidates must immediately begin to check their online profiles for clearance updates. The clearance process requires approval from the Head of Department and the School Officer. Without these approvals, students will not be able to proceed to the next phase of registration.
When the clearance stage is successfully completed, candidates must go ahead to pay the prescribed school fees. The institution emphasized that school fees payments confirm students as fully ready for academic activities and are necessary before a matriculation number can be generated. Students are urged to keep their payment receipts safe, as they may be required during departmental or administrative verification.
After school fees payment, MAPOLY’s automated system generates a matriculation number for each student. This number serves as the student’s permanent identity for academic records, examinations, class attendance, and official documentation. The polytechnic warned that without a matriculation number, a candidate cannot be recognized as a fully registered student.
MAPOLY reiterated its firm stance that any student who fails to accept their offer of admission on or before Friday, 21 November 2025, will automatically forfeit their slot. Such candidates will not appear on final registration lists and will need to seek new admission opportunities in subsequent admission cycles.
The institution also reminded students that lectures have already commenced for returning and newly registered students. Those not on SIWES are expected to join classes immediately after completing their admission processes, while SIWES students remain on field training until their schedule directs otherwise.
In his message to both fresh and returning students, the Rector, Arc. Dr. ’Koye Jolaoso, urged the entire student body to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to upholding the rules and values of the polytechnic. He emphasized that academic success is closely tied to good conduct, diligence, and respect for institutional guidelines.
For accurate information, MAPOLY directed students and parents to rely solely on official communication channels. These include the institution’s website and the verified email address provided for enquiries. The management warned that depending on unofficial sources may lead to misinformation and costly mistakes during the admission process.
