Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria has announced the commencement of the screening and verification exercise for students admitted for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to a Special Bulletin released by the institution on Friday, November 28, 2025, the first phase of the screening will run from December 1 to December 15, 2025, while the second phase is scheduled to begin on January 6, 2026.
The University Management advised all newly admitted students to upload required documents on the Post-UTME portal, including:
– JAMB result slip (for UTME candidates)
– JAMB Admission Letter
– NIN slip
– Indigene Certificate
– Birth Certificate
– O’Level certificates or statements of results
– A’Level certificates or statements of results (for DE candidates)
– Attestation letter or affidavit (where applicable)
Students presenting scratch cards or PINs for the verification of O’Level results were also instructed to provide original A’Level certificates during physical screening. In cases where originals are unavailable, a “certified true copy” may be accepted.
Following successful screening, students will gain access to the University portal to generate REMITA payment invoices for school charges and proceed to print their admission letters. Bed-space reservations will also be completed online via the portal.
The University strongly cautioned students against the buying or selling of bed spaces, warning that such acts attract penalties.
