The Management of the Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS), Ilorin, has announced that original Diploma Certificates issued by Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, are ready for collection.
According to a statement signed by the Registrar, Afolabi Suleiman, the collection process will commence on Monday, January 5, 2026. Graduates are expected to visit the Registrar’s Office between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on weekdays.
Requirements for Collection Graduates must satisfy specific conditions before their certificates are released:
Payment of all prescribed fees.
Full academic and administrative clearance.
Presentation of relevant evidence of completion and clearance documents.
Despite the announcement, a segment of the alumni community has raised urgent questions regarding the scope of the issuance. Adeyeye Abdulqodim, a graduate of the institution, noted that the release failed to specify which particular graduation sets are covered by this KWASU batch.
Furthermore, graduates from the era when the College was affiliated with Bayero University Kano (BUK) have expressed confusion over their status. Ayinde Olayiwola Abdulkabeer, who holds a CAILS-BUK Statement of Result, questioned the fate of those who graduated before the KWASU takeover.
“What about those of us who graduated prior to the KWASU affiliation? We are still holding BUK statements of results,” Abdulkabeer asked, highlighting a potential administrative bottleneck for older sets seeking their original certificates.
