The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the timetable for the 2026 Common-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for Private Candidates, First Series.
Nigeria Education News gathered the information from a post published on WAEC’s official X page on Tuesday. The timetable contains details of subjects, dates, and examination times to guide candidates in their preparation.
In the post, WAEC urged candidates to carefully study the timetable and take note of their examination schedules and requirements.
The council also advised candidates to strictly comply with examination rules and guidelines to avoid any challenges during the exercise.
The release of the timetable marks a key stage in preparations for the 2026 examination, as candidates and stakeholders begin final arrangements.
The CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, First Series, is scheduled to commence on January 28, 2026, and will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT), in line with WAEC’s ongoing efforts to modernise examination processes and enhance efficiency.
