The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has flagged 94 candidates in connection with alleged solicitation-related irregularities during the ongoing 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) process.
The board disclosed this in an official document titled “2026 List of Solicitation Candidates,” which contains the registration numbers of the affected candidates identified during its monitoring and review of the examination process.
According to the board, the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to safeguard the integrity of the UTME and enforce compliance with established examination guidelines.
While the specific details of the alleged infractions were not immediately disclosed, the publication of the list suggests that preliminary investigations have been conducted and the affected candidates are now under scrutiny.
JAMB noted that the candidates, identified only by their registration numbers, may face disciplinary measures depending on the outcome of further investigations.
Possible sanctions, according to examination regulations, may include disqualification from the examination, cancellation of results, or other penalties where necessary.
The board reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on examination malpractice and related irregularities, warning candidates against engaging in activities that could undermine the credibility of the examination process.
