Graduates of pharmacy technician programmes from the Lagos State College of Health Technology and Diphillab College of Ophthalmic Health Science and Technology have been formally inducted into professional practice following a joint oath-taking ceremony held at the college.
The event marked a major milestone for the newly certified technicians as they transitioned from students into healthcare professionals.
Addressing the graduates and their families, the Provost of LASCOHET, Raheem Akewushola, described the ceremony as a defining moment in their careers, noting that it symbolises their commitment to ethical standards and quality service in pharmaceutical practice.

He reiterated the institution’s commitment to producing competent, skilled, and ethically grounded healthcare professionals capable of contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s health sector.
Akewushola also commended the graduates for their dedication, resilience, and discipline throughout their training.
The highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the professional oath, conducted by a representative of the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, Taiwo Filusi. The inductees pledged to uphold professional standards, prioritise patient safety, and contribute to effective healthcare delivery.
In a keynote address, guest speaker Solape Adenuga charged the new professionals to uphold integrity and excellence in their careers. She urged them to remain innovative, adaptable, and conscious of the trust placed in them by society.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates to the graduating students by the Provost.
Also present at the event were key officials of the college, including Deputy Provost (Academics) Olaronke Agoro, Deputy Provost (Administration) Oyeronke Izobo, Registrar Christopher Ekundayo, Bursar Bukunmi Ali Balogun, and Dean of Admissions Oluwatoyin Babatunde.
