Redeemer’s University has celebrated another milestone in its drive to produce industry-ready engineers following the induction of graduates from its Faculty of Engineering into the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). The ceremony recognised the academic achievements of the graduating class while reinforcing the importance of professional standards, entrepreneurship and innovation in engineering education.
The event, which marked the institution’s Second Graduates’ Induction Ceremony, Award Presentation and Public Lecture, was held on July 2, 2026, bringing together university management, engineering professionals, lecturers, parents and graduating students to commemorate the transition of the graduates into the professional engineering community.
The induction ceremony featured a public lecture themed “Engineering the Future through Entrepreneurship,” highlighting the growing need for engineering graduates to combine technical competence with entrepreneurial skills capable of addressing contemporary societal and industrial challenges.
University authorities described the event as part of Redeemer’s University’s commitment to preparing graduates who possess not only sound theoretical knowledge but also practical and innovative skills required to compete in Nigeria’s evolving engineering sector and the global labour market.
The ceremony also recognised exceptional academic performance among the graduating students. Aderinnola David Adekoya emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student, receiving the institution’s highest academic honour for outstanding excellence throughout the engineering programme.
Similarly, Faith Ebunoluwa Oladipupo was recognised as the Best Graduating Female Student, a distinction celebrating her remarkable academic performance and contributions during her undergraduate studies.
The university congratulated all inducted graduates, noting that their admission into the Nigerian Society of Engineers represents an important step toward professional practice and lifelong commitment to engineering ethics, innovation and national development.
Management also commended parents, guardians, lecturers and members of the Faculty of Engineering for their contributions to the academic and professional development of the graduating students, describing their collective efforts as instrumental to the success of the graduating class.
