Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, has commenced preparations for the implementation of new Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) intervention projects with a pre-project meeting aimed at ensuring quality delivery, transparency and compliance with approved standards.
The meeting brought together the institution’s management, TETFund project consultants and representatives of contracting firms that submitted bids for the projects, marking a significant step towards improving infrastructure and strengthening the Polytechnic’s academic environment.
Leading the meeting, the Rector, Professor Jonathan Olusegun Adedokun, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to delivering projects that would enhance teaching, learning and research while maintaining the highest standards of construction and accountability.
He appreciated the consultant, contractors and members of the management team for their commitment to the successful implementation of the intervention projects, stressing that the Polytechnic would not compromise on quality.
According to the Rector, Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic has built a reputation for excellence over the years, making it imperative that every project executed under the TETFund intervention reflects durability, functionality and value for public investment.
He urged all contractors to strictly comply with approved specifications, contractual obligations and project timelines, noting that quality infrastructure remains essential to improving academic delivery and students’ learning experiences.
Professor Adedokun further explained that modern educational infrastructure plays a vital role in promoting innovation, practical learning and institutional competitiveness, adding that the projects would contribute significantly to the Polytechnic’s long-term development goals.
Speaking during the meeting, the Acting Head of the Physical Planning Unit, Engr. Titiloye, commended the Rector and the management for their continued investment in institutional growth and infrastructure development.
He assured participants that the Physical Planning Unit would closely monitor every stage of the projects to ensure strict compliance with approved specifications, engineering standards and quality assurance procedures.
According to him, effective supervision would guarantee that all facilities meet the expectations of the institution and serve the academic community for many years.
Also speaking, the project consultant, QS. Olabode Kehinde A., expressed appreciation to the Polytechnic’s management for its cooperation and confidence throughout the project planning process.
He assured the institution that the intervention projects would be executed professionally, in accordance with TETFund guidelines and within the stipulated quality standards.
The consultant also pledged continued collaboration with the Polytechnic to ensure timely delivery and successful completion of the projects.
In her closing remarks, the Registrar, Mrs. Funmilayo Bosede Akintunde, thanked all participants for their contributions and commitment to the commencement of the intervention projects.
She expressed confidence that the new facilities would improve the institution’s capacity to deliver quality education by providing a more conducive environment for teaching, learning, research and administrative activities.
The commencement of preparations for the projects at Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic is expected to further strengthen the institution’s academic capacity, improve students’ learning experiences and support the delivery of technical and vocational education needed for national development.
