The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has released the results of the 2026 June/July National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations, with 81.24 per cent of graded candidates securing at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
NABTEB said 79,503 of the 97,863 candidates graded for the examination obtained five credits and above, including the two core subjects.
The performance represents a 13.06 percentage-point increase over the 68.18 per cent recorded in the 2025 examination.
The board also reported that 89,580 candidates, representing 91.53 per cent of those graded, obtained five credits and above when English Language and Mathematics were not used as compulsory requirements.
Meanwhile, 847 candidates were found to have been involved in examination malpractice, accounting for 1.55 per cent of candidates who sat for the examination.
NABTEB advised candidates to access their results only through the board’s official result-checking platform.
The examination body also warned candidates against fraudsters offering to upgrade, alter or manipulate examination results, stressing that such claims should be disregarded.
Candidates were advised to rely on NABTEB’s official channels for verified information concerning the 2026 NBC and NTC results.
