Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has officially announced the commencement of its admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session. The management released the Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening forms for all suitably qualified candidates seeking admission into its diverse degree programmes.
In the official announcement, the university declared 150 as the general cut-off mark for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). However, the institution also advised prospective applicants that competitive programmes such as Computer Science, Accounting, and various Education-related courses may require higher scores, depending on the volume and quality of applications received.
To qualify for admission into any of BOUESTI’s programmes, candidates must possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. These credits must be obtained from examinations such as WASSCE, SSCE, GCE, or their equivalents in not more than two sittings. The three other subjects must be relevant to the chosen course of study.
For Direct Entry applicants, the institution accepts results from NCE, ND, HND, JUPEB, and IJMB. Candidates with these qualifications are encouraged to apply, provided they meet the required conditions. These applicants must also ensure their details are correctly uploaded to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal.
In line with JAMB’s guidelines, candidates who initially selected other institutions but now wish to study at BOUESTI are expected to effect a change of institution and/or course on the JAMB portal. This step is crucial for ensuring their application is processed correctly by the university.
The university’s online application portal, portal.bouesti.edu.ng, is now open for candidates to begin their application process. To apply, applicants must first visit the portal, click on the “Admissions” section, and then select “Apply for Admission.” From there, candidates are required to create a new account by supplying their personal details, including a valid email address and active phone number.
After account creation, a verification link will be sent to the email address provided. Applicants are expected to click on the link to verify their account. Once verified, candidates can log in using their email as the username and the password they created during the sign-up process.
On the user dashboard, candidates must select “2025/2026 POST-UTME Application” as the application type. They are then expected to enter their UTME registration number, upload relevant documents, and complete other details as prompted on the portal. Accuracy is essential during this process to avoid disqualification.
The online registration must be completed within the timeframe stipulated by the university. Although no specific deadline was mentioned in the announcement, applicants are advised to apply as early as possible to avoid last-minute rush and possible technical challenges.
BOUESTI continues to position itself as a hub for academic excellence, innovation, and professionalism, especially in the fields of education, science, and technology. The university encourages students who are passionate about these disciplines to take advantage of the opportunity to study in an institution that prioritizes modern teaching methods and ICT integration.
All candidates are reminded that only those who successfully register on the university portal and meet the stated criteria will be considered for screening and subsequent admission. Parents and guardians are also advised to guide their wards through the process to ensure compliance with application procedures.
For further enquiries or assistance, candidates may visit the university’s official website or contact the BOUESTI Admissions Office through the designated communication channels provided on the portal.
