The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) has conducted a follow-up engagement at Iponri Estate Junior Secondary School and Eric Moore Junior and Senior Secondary Schools as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen preventive structures within school communities.
The engagement focused on monitoring and reinforcing the activities of the Kings and Queens Clubs, encouraging increased student participation, and guiding students on initiating sustainable, value-driven projects aimed at promoting positive behaviour and preventing domestic and sexual violence.

According to the agency, the sensitisation and interactive sessions provided an opportunity to review existing club activities, assess the level of student commitment, and reenergise members towards more active participation. Membership enrolment was also reviewed, with new students inducted into the Kings and Queens Clubs.
The capacity-building session was facilitated by Ms Oluwabunmi Amosu and Mr Adeleke Adenuga, who engaged students on leadership development, teamwork, project planning, and the importance of sustaining initiatives that positively impact their school environments.
DSVA noted that no major challenges were recorded during the engagement. The session ended with recommendations for continuous follow-up visits, structured mentorship, and stronger institutional support from school authorities to ensure sustained progress.
The agency said the engagement underscores its preventive approach of empowering young people to serve as change agents and advocates against domestic and sexual violence within their communities.
