The Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado Ekiti, has assured newly admitted students into its Part-time programme for the 2025/2026 academic session that it will maintain its tradition of releasing certificates to graduates on the day of their graduation. This assurance was given by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Babatola Ayodele, while addressing the newly admitted students at the Ifaki-Ekiti campus.
Professor Ayodele, represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Development), Professor Olufemi Oke, emphasized that the academic standard for part-time students is the same as that of regular students. “EKSU is a student-centered university and has become a household name globally because of its academic excellence,” he said.
The Vice Chancellor reminded the new students that the matriculation ceremony marks the beginning of their full-fledged studentship with the university. He noted that EKSU has continued to justify the dreams of its founding fathers by contributing to the human resource needs of Nigeria and Ekiti State in particular.
Professor Ayodele charged the students to make the best use of the opportunities offered by the university, congratulating them on their admission and wishing them a happy stay. The Director of the Programme, Professor Kayode Arogundade, also congratulated the matriculants, emphasizing that the Directorate provides flexible, high-quality academic opportunities without compromising standards.
The admission process for the 2026/2027 academic session has commenced, with advertisements placed in national newspapers. The matriculation oath was administered by the Registrar, Mr. Ife Oluwole, after the presentation of candidates by the Deans of their faculties.
