He assured participants of LASUBEB’s readiness to provide institutional backing and practical solutions within its capacity to resolve identified challenges and prevent disruptions that could affect the credibility of the examination.
The LASUBEB Board Secretary commended the State Examinations Board for the successful conduct of the previous placement test. He explained that the purpose of the meeting was to review lessons learned, identify gaps, and develop sustainable strategies to improve future examinations.
Presenting a report on the last exercise, the Registrar of the State Examinations Board, Mr Adebayo Orunsolu, revealed that more than 200,000 pupils sat for the examination across 574 centres statewide.
He added that the board remains open to partnering with registered private schools as examination centres, provided participation thresholds are met to maintain operational efficiency.

He disclosed that this year’s placement test is projected to attract about 270,000 candidates across the state, underscoring the need for stronger collaboration among stakeholders to ensure a smooth and credible process.
