Lagos State University (LASU) has commenced monitoring of its ongoing part time first semester examinations as part of efforts to ensure compliance with academic standards and safeguard examination integrity.
The examinations, organised by the School of Part Time Studies, are currently taking place across multiple faculties at the university’s main campus in Ojo. The exercise marks a key stage in the 2025/2026 academic session.
The Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, Professor Oseni Taiwo Afisi, led a team of senior officials on a monitoring tour of examination centres on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

He was accompanied by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, Professor Oluwatoyin Enikuomehin, reflecting the institution’s emphasis on due process and quality assurance.
The monitoring exercise began at the Faculty of Management Sciences, where the team was received by the Director of the School of Part Time Studies, Dr Oluwatobi Pemede. He guided the officials through various examination halls and provided updates on coordination and logistics.
During the visit, the team assessed the conduct of the examinations to ensure strict adherence to established guidelines. The delegation also visited the Faculties of Social Sciences and Arts, where the examinations were ongoing.
Professor Afisi commended the management of the School of Part Time Studies for what he described as a well organised process. He reiterated the university’s commitment to maintaining the credibility and integrity of its examination system.
The part time examinations, currently in their second weekend, are scheduled to conclude on May 3, 2026.
