Popular content creator and activist Mr Macaroni has partnered with TechCrush to roll out a fully funded scholarship programme aimed at equipping young Nigerians with in-demand digital skills.
The initiative, which offers 100 percent free access to tech training, will select 100 participants across a range of high-demand fields including artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, product design, and software development.

Applications for the programme opened on April 30 and are expected to close on May 2, with selected candidates gaining access to structured learning designed to prepare them for real-world opportunities in the tech ecosystem.
Participants will undergo live, instructor-led classes and work on capstone projects to build practical experience. The programme also includes mentorship, career support, and access to a growing network of tech professionals.
In addition, beneficiaries will receive internationally recognised certification upon completion, alongside opportunities to participate in a buildathon aimed at testing their skills in practical scenarios.
A key feature of the scholarship is the provision of data stipends for selected participants, addressing one of the major barriers to digital learning in Nigeria.
The programme reflects a growing trend of private sector-led interventions in education, particularly in digital skills development, as young Nigerians increasingly seek alternatives to traditional career pathways.
With technology continuing to reshape the global job market, initiatives like this are positioning participants with the tools needed to compete, innovate, and build sustainable careers in the digital economy.
