The National Youth Service Corps has fixed Thursday, May 21, 2026, for the passing-out of 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream II corps members across the country.
The date marks the formal conclusion of the one-year national service for thousands of graduates deployed under the scheme.
According to NYSC management, activities leading to the passing-out will commence on Tuesday, May 5, with a series of structured programmes designed to prepare corps members for life after service.
These include Job Advisory and Counselling sessions, where participants will receive guidance on career options, employability skills, and opportunities in entrepreneurship.
The exercise will also involve the signing of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors, a key requirement for corps members to qualify for their Certificates of National Service.
The passing-out itself will be conducted on a low-key basis, with certificates distributed to eligible corps members at the local government level nationwide.
The Director-General of the scheme, Olakunle Nafiu, encouraged outgoing corps members to uphold the core values of the programme and remain responsible ambassadors of the scheme in their future engagements.
The announcement was conveyed in a statement issued by Caroline W. Embu, Director of Information and Public Relations, who wished corps members a successful winding-up and passing-out exercise.
