The management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has officially announced the commencement of its physical screening exercise for all candidates who applied for admission into the institution for the 2025/2026 academic session through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The official circular signed by the Registrar, Alhaji Kabiru Garba Aminu, fnipr, stated that the screening will begin on Friday, October 17, 2025, and end on Saturday, October 25, 2025. The exercise is scheduled to take place at the NCC Building, Gubi Campus, located along Kano Road, Bauchi.
The notice emphasized that all applicants must appear in person for the physical screening within the stipulated period. According to the management, there will be no extension after the closing date, and latecomers will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Applicants are expected to present original copies of all relevant documents, including JAMB result slips, O’level results, birth certificates, local government identification letters, and any other supporting credentials for verification. This, the institution noted, will ensure transparency and fairness in the admission process.
The Registrar, Alhaji Aminu, expressed appreciation to all applicants for their patience and cooperation during the admission process, urging them to adhere strictly to all screening guidelines to ensure a smooth and hitch-free exercise.

He further stated that the management has put all necessary arrangements in place to ensure a conducive and organized environment for the exercise. “The university is fully prepared to receive all candidates, and we have ensured that the process will be conducted with integrity and orderliness,” he said.
ATBU reiterated its commitment to merit-based admissions, emphasizing that the physical screening is an essential step in verifying the authenticity of documents and ensuring that only qualified candidates are admitted into the institution.
The management also advised candidates to be wary of fraudsters and unauthorized individuals who might attempt to exploit unsuspecting applicants during the screening period. It urged candidates to seek all information directly from official ATBU communication channels.
The physical screening exercise, according to the university, is part of its broader effort to maintain high academic standards and accountability in its admission process. The management assured that only those who successfully complete the screening would be considered for final admission.
As the 2025/2026 academic session draws near, the university community expressed optimism that the exercise will proceed seamlessly and reflect the institution’s long-standing tradition of excellence, transparency, and fairness in student admission and academic operations.
