The management of Ekiti State University (EKSU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with eTranzact International Plc to enhance the institution’s digital payment infrastructure and improve overall service delivery.
University officials disclosed that the partnership is aimed at modernising EKSU’s payment ecosystem by deploying more secure, seamless, and efficient digital transaction platforms for students, staff, and other stakeholders. The agreement is expected to streamline processes such as school fee payments, acceptance fees, transcript requests, and other institutional transactions.
Management described the collaboration as part of a broader commitment to institutional innovation and digital transformation. By leveraging eTranzact’s financial technology expertise, the university intends to minimise payment bottlenecks, reduce transaction errors, and improve transparency in revenue management.
The MoU also aligns with ongoing efforts within Nigeria’s higher education sector to adopt technology-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency and accountability. Stakeholders believe that strengthening digital payment systems will not only improve internal administrative processes but also provide a better user experience for students and parents.
Officials further noted that the upgraded system is expected to offer real-time payment confirmation, improved security features, and enhanced reporting mechanisms to support effective financial planning and auditing.
The EKSU management reaffirmed its commitment to continuous improvement in service delivery, stating that the partnership with eTranzact reflects its resolve to embrace innovation, efficiency, and stakeholder-focused reforms in line with global best practices in university administration.
