No fewer than 80 members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving under the Consumer Protection Community Development Service (CDS) group have been recognised for their contributions to public sensitisation in Lagos State.
The commendation was given by the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency,(LASCOPA)which praised the corps members for their efforts in educating residents and promoting consumer rights across the state.

Presenting Certificates of Meritorious Service to the first batch of the CDS members, the General Manager of LASCOPA, Afolabi Solebo, described their impact as significant, noting that their activities have helped to strengthen consumer awareness and protection.
The presentation ceremony took place at the NYSC Secretariat in Lagos, where the corps members were acknowledged for their dedication, consistency, and commitment to service.
According to the agency, the corps members played a vital role in disseminating information and engaging communities on issues relating to consumer protection, contributing meaningfully to the agency’s outreach efforts.
LASCOPA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote public awareness and protect the rights of consumers, while encouraging continued collaboration with youth-driven programmes such as the NYSC.
The recognition highlights the growing role of corps members in advancing civic education and community development across Lagos State.
