The Management of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic has raised concern over the large number of uncollected certificates, revealing that more than 13,000 graduates are yet to pick up their original documents.
In an official notice issued by the institution, the polytechnic disclosed that the unclaimed certificates belong to graduates of both National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes spanning the 2014/2015 to 2023/2024 academic sessions.
The management has therefore directed all affected graduands to visit the institution in Eruwa, Oyo State, to collect their certificates on or before May 31, 2026, stressing the importance of immediate compliance.

According to the notice, failure to meet the deadline will attract a penalty, which must be settled before the certificates can be released to their rightful owners.
Registrar of the institution, Funmilayo Bosede Akintunde, urged all concerned graduates to treat the directive with urgency, noting that the certificates are critical documents required for employment, further education, and professional advancement.
The development highlights a recurring issue across Nigerian tertiary institutions, where thousands of graduates delay or fail to collect their certificates years after graduation.
The polytechnic reiterated its commitment to proper documentation and record management, while calling on all affected alumni to take advantage of the given window to avoid additional charges and complications.
